YouTube’s ‘Creator Lab' asked us to produce a 360-degree video project to demonstrate the possibilities of YouTube VR, with a spherical video filmed at the edge of space.  

 

We designed and built a bespoke six camera GoPro rig and attached it to a helium filled weather balloon to capture immersive 360-degree video footage 32km above earth.

 

Once the project was complete, we presented our findings to Google employees and invited delegates from the VR industry at a conference held at the YouTube Space in London.
